7 Reasons to Shop Early for the Holidays
Don’t Worry - Be Happy - Shop early for the Holidays.
Below are 7 tips to help you get through the hustle and bustle of the Holiday Shopping Season.
1. Christmas in July. Start as early as July. You’ll have a better selection and fewer crowds.
2. Make Your List and Check it Twice. Make a shopping list. That way you won’t forget someone. Don’t forget your mail carrier, teacher(s), co-workers or other special people who have provided you with exceptional service through out the year.
3. Avoid Over Spending. Shop early to avoid Holiday overspending on “Rush Shipping” services. Rush shipping is very expensive; avoid it by starting your shopping early. We all know how frustrating it is to order a special item on a short notice and you keep your fingers crossed hoping it will arrive on time (and praying the weather doesn’t delay the delivery). It is one of the worst feelings to have around the holiday season. Avoid that stress; shop a week or two before Thanksgiving.
4. Better Selection. Early shopping means more product availability. Last minute shoppers find it more difficult to find exactly what you are looking for. Stock has been picked over and the most popular items are often sold out. Avoid the rush and get to work on your shopping list now to get the best availability.
5. Save Money. The market is about supply and demand. When the holidays arrive, the demand will be great and supply may be low. That means higher pricing. Shop early and look for the good deals and Pre-Season Sales.
6. Order From Home. The day after Thanksgiving is the busiest shopping day of the year. Don’t even go there. You’ll find crowds and ‘sold out’ notices on the items you want. Shop early from home over the internet. No crowds and less of a chance that you’ll end up in a fist fight over the last, most coveted item on the shelf.
7. Drop Ship. Order holiday gifts and have them shipped directly to your out of town friends and family. You’ll avoid the mad dash to the Post Office along with all the other people trying to ship things at the last minute. Be sure to shop early so your gifts can be shipped via ground so they’ll arrive in plenty of time for the Holiday (and at a reasonable price for shipping). Order late and you will incur expensive expedited shipping fees, or run the risk of the gift not arriving by the Holiday.
Now - Go Shop over the internet in your pajamas! When the Holidays do arrive you can be home, relaxed and ready for the New Year!
