So there’s this fresh craze running along side our attraction with the top wireless products [1], and it’s the proper way to keep their electric batteries completely full. With most of the very new pads and pc tablets, cellphones, and notebooks the only general drawback is the most simple technique to get them charged up. I started off thinking exactly what I would probably do with many of these various devices and now I question what I’d do without them. I even worry every night whether I’ve got each one of them on their own proper wires and cables and recharging up for the morning ahead.

When the technology gadgets firstly hit the marketplace there were cables interconnected with the Flash slots on the laptop computer. This sounded like a pretty new concept for me first. I was a devotee of the convenience that one could effortlessly put the device in during the night while reviewing e-mail. Sadly, like numerous things, this quickly became a problem. How can I get my accessory with me around the house if it has to stay plugged in at the notebook computer?

Subsequently followed the Flash wall adapter. I went researching one of these soon subsequently after my first smartphone purchase. I needed to put it into the wall in my bedchamber so I could have it with me at night, but I didn’t have anything but the Universal series bus recharging cable to power up it. Next thing I discovered, the wall adapter was coming with many of the items I bought.

Over the last two years, I have started to research and notice stuff about wire-less charging mats. From the things I learned initially, they were needing precise cases for the gadgets to operate them. Fairly recently, this was deleted. The world of wire-less recharging is getting ready to bust wide open.

We need to place a pin in that subject. We will be back very quickly. Now, we should instead take a look at the value of alternative technology [2]. Several negative people to environment friendly technology will declare it’s tree-hugging talk to get consumers to shop for higher priced items and that it’s all an absurd effort simply because none of the adverse effects are really taking effect. Even if that is correct, the exclusively difficulty with that question is how many men and women are in the modern world. Because of the number of individuals existing on the globe and the actual number of them using coal and natural gas powered electric power, we’ve started to have a challenge. Now take into consideration the amount of them that will have kids and precisely how that will increase the number of people consuming electrical energy and non-renewable fuels. The best conscientious thing to try is for technology to offer eco friendly choices at present that can become earth-friendly preferences subsequently [3].

With that in mind, ladies and gentleman, I present to you the earliest renewable system to re-charge wi-fi your cellular tools, Panasonic’s recent solar-powered wire-less recharging table. Due to be launched at the end of 2011 or early 2012, the brand-new table will make use of solar energy gained by the solar cells on the face of the table to charge the devices placed on the table! This is basically the near future of a green photovoltaic technology that is Qi enabled.

Exactly what is Qi you may ask? Qi has been manufactured by the wifi power cartel as a default specs to be applied by the manufactures of recharging devices, like our completely new table, and the items which they will power up, much like your brand new smartphone that is touchscreen technology equipped, reads books and has a foldout full-sized keyboard. This recent Qi technology has only been around since the beginning of this season, but everybody is planning on fast integration and a score of item launches. The use of Qi with older wireless gadgets is almost guaranteed, and we will certainly be listening a little more about Panasonic’s recent solar-powered wire-less charging table and several other Qi enabled rechargers in the future.

If you feel the need to explore more about solar pv and ways to integrate it in your life let me show you these different guides:

- [1] Here you can browse more in detail the info relating to the photo voltaic table. On Youtube.com I’ve found the Japan shop 2011 tour that demonstrates the pv charging table and other devices on display in Tokyo.

- [2] Here you can have a clear view on the way to use solar powered energy to recharge most item’s batteries (i.e. cell phone, car batteries, etc…). If you’re not ready to afford the cost to setup a non commercial photo voltaic system, it might be a very good 1st step to introduce you to solar energy panels. 12voltsolarpanels.net is a free blogging site monitored by Hettie that gives her viewpoints to help people make the passage from a full-time electricity dependency to a good energy efficiency. She gives some lovely suggestions about rv solar panel reviews to help motor home enthusiasts power up their batteries and study how solar energy works to increase the utilization of solar powered energy in their properties and other tools.

- [3] If you possibly can spend the money for the investment to set up residential solar panels for your residence (or qualify for solar tax credits or discounts), here some reviews to help you learn how solar energy panels work and ways to add them in your daily life. Residentialsolarpanels.org is a non-profits site maintained by Shannon. She is an independent writer and guru on photovoltaic for residential use. If you want to learn more about solar panel systems I offer you to check out this article regarding residential solar systems.

Black Friday has expanded into black Saturday. How long before it turns into Black November. I am sure that would happen if retailers could hold the consumers interest for that long.

We have noticed a continuing trend over the past 5 years where shoppers delay spending until the last minute possible (I thought I was the only procrastinator). So we are inclined to think that Cyber December is becoming a reality. Up until three years ago, we had more sales in November than December. That trend has completely reversed. People seem to give up on the stores and crowds to shop online during December. This is partially supported by the NRF survey that states “As of the Sunday after Thanksgiving, the average person has completed 38.7% of his or her shopping vs. 39.3% in 2008.”

PayPal supposedly reported a 25% increase in traffic on Black Friday which can hardly be a reflection of shopper spending. It may, however, portray a shift in shopping habits to Cyber December rather the Black November.

Another interesting statistic from NRF is that the average shopper spent $343.31 on Black Friday and Saturday. Interestingly, $103.80 of that was spent online. A whopping 30%!

With all of the advertising for Black Friday, only 52.1% actually shopped or planned to shop during the weekend according to the NRF. That surprised me. Did the other 48% shop online? The survey isn’t clear on the distinction of online shopping participation.

Happy Holidays Everyone,
Ken

Robin Spizman has the best gift shopping advice we have seen!

A quote from her Gifts and Tips web page, “Don’t just consider what you like to give…think about what they would like to receive…it’s their gift!”

Using what “I like” to decide on a gift for someone else has always been a pet peeve of mine. It is being downright lazy (or maybe uninformed). Is that why such a small percentage of shoppers buy personalized gifts?

Actually personalizing a gift is quite easy once you have decided what kind of gifts might fit you recipients desires. As an example, your husband needs a wallet. Think about how he will feel if it has his name or initials engraved on it! We all like to see our name in lights! How would you feel?

Every year we do a local golf on ice tournament for our friends and neighbors. We always give out a personalized gift of some kind to each participant. Two or three years later we find out that they haven’t used the golf balls yet. Why?

Gift giving is part science and part feelings. The science is determining what gift they might like. The feeling is going one more step to include their personalization on the gift.

Take the time to go the next step and your recipients will show you that it was worth it!

After deciding to upgrade Wordpress to the 2.3 version, we downloaded the new files and got to the updating the database step and hit a brick wall with an error message saying you need MySQL version 4.0 or greater.

Our first approach was to get our ISP to upgrade our MySQL version. Well that will take a day or two, (in the meantime the blog is down) so we went about restoring the files that we had backed up. Wow, we actually backed them up!

Researching a little further, we found the notification in the Upgrading WordPress guide:
Before you get started, make sure you meet the minimum requirements. Guess who blew right by that first line in the guide.
To run WordPress your host just needs a couple of things:

PHP version 4.2 or greater

MySQL version 4.0 or greater

A word for the wise. “Check your server versions before upgrading” and save yourself a headache.

Now we are waiting for our server upgrades and we will try it again.
